Max Nelson is an Intermediate Business Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Department. In his role he is responsible for sensing top risks and strategic initiatives within the department, preparing the department's annual strategic plan, program managing the Crisis Simulation Lab outreach efforts, and assisting System strategic initiatives. Outside of his main role, Max has been heavily involved in the intern program at the Bank, serving as a Head of House in 2023 and 2024 and as the Program Co-Manager in 2025.

Ben is originally from Philadelphia, PA. He holds a BA in Economics and an MS in Statistics from UVA. While at UVA, he was an active member of the Washington Literary Society and Debating Union and of the Delta Upsilon fraternity. Ben is currently a Partner at Bain & Company in the San Francisco office. He originally joined Bain as an intern while at UVA and has spent his entire career there, where he now advises leading financial investors on their strategy and investment opportunities, with distinctive expertise in technology businesses.

Michael Pugliese is an Executive Director and Senior Economist for Wells Fargo Corporate and Investment Banking. Based in New York City, Michael covers the U.S. economy with a primary focus on the labor market, inflation, monetary policy, and fiscal policy. Michael plays a lead role in producing the economics team's U.S. and international interest rate forecasts. His work has been published in academic journals and cited by major media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, Politico, and Bloomberg News.

Logan is from Alexandria, VA, and holds a BA in Economics and Foreign Affairs from UVA. While at UVA, Logan was involved with Madison House's ESL Program, the International Studies Office, Economics Club, and led planning for the Economics Career Forum. She is an Associate at the financial consulting firm Sustainable Capital Advisors (SCA), where she started as a Graduate Fellow in 2022. At SCA, she specializes in sustainable finance strategy and supports community lenders and mission-driven institutions executing climate-focused projects.

Joycelyn is originally from Rockville, Maryland, and holds a BA in Economics from UVA. During her time at UVA, she was particularly interested in studying the intersection of economics and public policy. She was also involved in the Asian Student Union and the Washington Society and was a writer for The Cavalier Daily. Joycelyn began her career as a Pathways Student Intern at the Food and Drug Administration before becoming a Program Analyst.

Meredith is originally from Richmond, Virginia, and holds a BA in Economics and Foreign Affairs from UVA. She currently lives in Arlington, Virginia, and is a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One in the Card line of business. Meredith began her career at Capital One when she joined the Analyst Development Program as a Business Analyst, following her time as an Analyst Intern during Summer 2023. From Fall 2024 to Fall 2025, Meredith worked in New to Credit Acquisitions. In Fall 2025, she rotated to work on Credit Line Increases and is presently in this role. 

Melissa is from Fairfax County, Virginia, and holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from UVA. During her time at UVA, she served in leadership roles for the University Programs Council, Econ Club, and Trustees. Melissa began her career in NYC in various finance and strategy roles, across actuarial work at New York Life Insurance, securitization advisory at KPMG, and data-driven finance at Deloitte. After receiving her MBA from UChicago's Booth School of Business, she pivoted to strategy consulting at BCG.

Wendy Blake is originally from Annandale, Virginia, and holds a BA in Economics from UVA. Following three years at an environmental consulting firm, Wendy went to law school, clerked for a federal judge, and then launched her legal career at the United States Department of Justice, litigating cases in federal appellate and district courts. Wendy currently serves as the Acting Deputy General Counsel for Operations in the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of General Counsel.
