Joycelyn Lu
Joycelyn is originally from Rockville, Maryland, and holds a BA in Economics from UVA. During her time at UVA, she was particularly interested in studying the intersection of economics and public policy. She was also involved in the Asian Student Union and the Washington Society and was a writer for The Cavalier Daily. Joycelyn began her career as a Pathways Student Intern at the Food and Drug Administration before becoming a Program Analyst. In 2022, she joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as an Economic Research Assistant before transitioning to her current role as a Financial Analyst. In her current position, Joycelyn has co-authored and contributed to several FDIC publications, including the Quarterly Banking Profile, the Annual Risk Review, and several Banking Issues in Focus reports—informing internal and external stakeholders about the financial condition of FDIC-insured institutions as well as emerging market and credit risks to the banking industry.
