Krista Barry Hilk
Krista Barry Hilk is a Director for Europe at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), an agency under the Executive Office of the President responsible for setting and administering U.S. trade policy. In this role, she coordinates U.S. industrial and agricultural trade policy issues with the European Union and select EU Member States (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia), while also supporting the UK trade portfolio. Most recently, she served as a Southeast Asia International Trade Specialist covering Vietnam and Malaysia at the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. Earlier, she worked at USTR on various trade policy initiatives in Europe, most notably the U.S.–UK Trade Agreement negotiations. She has also worked in the U.S. House of Representatives and at Nathan Associates Inc. on trade capacity-building projects in West Africa. Krista holds a master's degree in international economic policy from George Washington University and a BA in Economics and Foreign Affairs from UVA. She currently lives on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. with her husband, daughter, and cat.
