Human Resources Intern

The HR Operations team at Millennium is responsible for driving and executing processes that are efficient, effective and consistent. This team plays a critical role in ensuring our HR department runs smoothly, our candidates, new hires and employees have a great experience, and the overall administration of our people data is of the highest quality standards. As a member of our team, you will assist with on-boarding new hires into the company, coordinating global mobility, answering employee inquiries, managing employee data and supporting processes for HR Business Partners, Recruiting and HR Services.

The Human Resources Intern will provide support on day-to-day issues, acting as a point of contact for both inbound inquiries from employees across the firm, as well as requests from HR leadership.  This person will assist in accurate reporting and operational excellence across the department. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure across both the department and firm, making an immediate impact. This is the ideal role for a candidate that is keenly execution focused, thrives both autonomously and collaboratively and is looking to dive deep into the world of HR.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Human Resources and will be hired to support the department in a variety of areas.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact to assist employees with day-to-day general inquires
  • Support employee on-boarding including processing new hire documentation
  • Maintain and ensure data accuracy for the HR databases
  • Assist HR Business Partners with day-to-day operational needs
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR function as needed
  • Oversee and/or support a variety of key HR-wide projects

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree candidate with a strong interest in Human Resources
  • Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency and time management
  • Proficient to advanced computer skills including MS Outlook, Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others, but also the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Previous experience with an applicant tracking system and HR databases preferred
