GirlSportWorks (GSW) is a non-profit organization based in Cusco,
Peru that teaches self-confidence, leadership, teamwork, communications, and
healthy living to girls through athletics. GSW’s sports-based curriculum and
frequent instruction-based field trips encourage our students to learn, play,
and develop relationships with peers and mentors in a safe environment. GSW
also teaches English classes and is developing programs to train local
teachers. Since 2003, we have taught more than 1,500 students in 10 Cusco schools
and witnessed improvements in our students’ social and academic performances.
GSW seeks to hire two female college graduates to lead the program
for the upcoming year. The position requires a 12-month commitment, beginning
in July. Project Managers are responsible for planning and teaching sports/life
skills and English classes; serving as mentors for students; providing feedback
on and improving our curricula; organizing field trips; maintaining
relationships with schools, teachers, communities, and families; fundraising;
creating content and managing social media platforms; implementing monitoring
and evaluation tools; and reporting to GSW board and management.
Applicants must be college graduates and must
with a broad range of athletics; experience as a coach or captain
as an educator and genuine interest in working with youth
to work closely with a peer colleague and independently with a remote
leadership, planning, and problem solving skills in creating and
executing “new-to-you” activities

and experience living in a developing country
for helping girls and their community
Project managers will be compensated as follows:
monthly stipend that covers all food, transportation, and general living
round-trip plane ticket from the United States to Cusco
furnished apartment in Cusco
