Analyst/Senior Analyst, Strategy & Insights

CafeMedia is looking for a strategic, creative and analytical thinker to join our sales team! The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Strategy & Insights will be responsible for digging deep to craft compelling sales narratives using a variety of research tools and articulating insights into sales presentations. Responsibilities:

  • Create compelling sales stories that show why we are a great partner for our advertisers and bring findings to life in client presentations

  • Partner with sales directors and sales development teams to understand client objectives and determine outreach approach

  • Produce monthly reports from comScore metrics (covering our competitive set and core audiences) and update sales collateral

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Communications, or related field

  • 2+ years relevant experience in consulting, marketing, research or digital media; more recent grads welcome to apply for Analyst role

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret patterns across multiple data sources and translate into sales stories

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Familiarity with large databases is a plus

  • Familiarity with comScore, Qualtrics, SPSS, eMarketer, and other research tools is a plus. Experience with survey writing and analysis or ad effectiveness research is helpful

  • Passion for marketing and insights

  • Self-starter with a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

Tax analysis division

The congressional budget office is a small nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analysis to the congress. Cbo’s tax analysis division is seeking an analyst with an interest in tax research to join its revenue-estimating staff.
The tax analysis division is responsible for forecasting federal revenues as part of cbo’s baseline budget projections and for providing the congress with analysis and evaluation of the effects of past and proposed changes to federal tax policies. The revenue analyst will develop baseline revenue estimates and estimates of revenue gains and losses from legislative proposals. The analyst also will conduct empirical research on federal tax policy, undertaking short-term analyses of current legislative proposals and preparing cbo studies. The position requires extensive contact with legislative and executive branch staff members and a facility for quantitative work, including economic modeling and budget tracking.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least a master’s degree in economics, public policy, or a related field; a strong background in economics; quantitative analytical experience in economic, tax, or closely related fields; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to initiate and complete projects independently and as a team member; and a desire to work on issues of current and potential legislative interest to the congress.

Join usda’s office of community food systems!

The usda food and nutrition service’s (fns) office of community food systems (ocfs) helps child nutrition program operators incorporate local foods in the national school lunch program and its associated programs, as well as the summer food service program and child and adult care food program. Ocfs accomplishes this through grant making, training and technical assistance and research.
Fns is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as an intern in the office of community food systems during the summer and/or fall of 2017. We are looking for an individual with excellent skills in communication (both oral and written communication), organization, analysis, good judgment, and an interest in community food systems.
Since fiscal year 2013, fns has funded nearly 300 grant projects (about $20m) to support farm to school efforts across the country. Over this period of time, grantees have reported outcomes and impacts of their work by frequently completing progress reports as well as completing a final report at the end of their project. These reports document major achievements, challenges and lessons learned of their project. Support is needed to summarize information shared through these reports and summarize common themes. By harvesting and sharing these stories, you will support other child nutrition program operators in implementing proven farm to school strategies and help usda analyze the impact of its investments.
